Bamboo Socks
Author Thomas | 13.05.2008 | Category Apparel
Intriguing? Well, they are. Are they stiff? Not at all. In fact, they feel much better than regular cotton socks I have. Why Bamboo? Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial. Microbes (bacteria, etc.) are what make your feet stink. The bamboo significantly prevents the microbes from spreading. The material also helps to wick away moisture keeping your feet drier.
Bamboo is also a very renewable material source. It grows back like crazy, doesn’t require pesticides like cotton plants apparently need, and it’s cool.
When purchasing socks, look for the blend. I’ve found and used socks with a 60 to 70% bamboo material and the rest as cotton and elastic.
